What is this event about?
What does the adjective “stateful” have to do with Azure Functions?
An Azure Function is a simple stateless unit of work, and the word “Stateful” seems out of place. In this session, you will see that the main Azure serverless technology can be used to create stateful entities. Scenarios, patterns, pros, and cons of using this approach.

Who is it aimed at?
This session is aimed at developers and architects who want to understand how Azure Functions, a stateless technology, can be used to implement stateful patterns and how extending Azure Functions is a great way to provide powerful features in a simple technology like Azure Functions. In this session, we will examine several stateful patterns we can implement using Durable Functions.

Why should I attend?
Azure Functions is a stateless technology, but in our scenarios, often, we need to store and manage state, and we want to do it in a serverless world. Durable Functions is the answer: an extension of Azure Functions that provides you the capability of storing and managing state and writing workflow.
