Becoming the best in the world requires discipline and persistent work. How do you find the will to put in that work?
Nils van der Poel had a dream, he would become the world’s best skater. After 10,000 meters of lactic acid and forehead bone, in a demanding sport, to say the least, it was he who would stand at the top of the podium. Nils humorously tells a fascinating and forgiving life story. A story filled with what characterized him as an athlete. In the lecture, Nils’ theories and philosophy will illuminate the motivational keys that made his journey unique. He talks about how he found his weakest link – the lack of motivation – and how he has done to learn to understand his driving forces. In the end, it boils down to how you want to live your life and what sacrifices you are prepared to make.
