This is an IN PERSON event happening at the Microsoft Stockholm Reactor (Epicenter 8th floor).

The doors open at 17.00 for pre-mingle and we will start with the workshop at 17.45.

This event will be hosted by Liam Hampton, a Microsoft Regional Cloud Advocate from the UK and Mikael Sand, a Senior Integration Architect working for Permobil. During this event Liam and Mikael will take you through the basics of API management and why you should use it, API security using keys and OAuth. In this meetup there will be a mix of presentation, hands-on labs and networking with peers allowing you to get stuck into the tech and work with others in the community.During the evening, we will provide refreshments and some light dinner, so you have all the energy to get the maximum out of this workshop.

Who is it aimed at?

This event is aimed at anyone with an interest in APIs, web requests, running systems at scale and people who want to meet likeminded members of the community!

To network with others in the community and to learn more about Microsoft Azure API Management

Any pre-requisites?

Prior knowledge of HTTP and API requests would be good but not essential.Bring a laptop if you would like to take part in the hands-on labs.

About the speakers

Mikael Sand works is a senior integration Architect with 15 years experience in integration. After many years as a consultant, he now works for Permobil. He has previously hosted a beginners’ course on API management and has had several speaking engagements on integration related topics. He is an avid cloud advocate and has been on Azure since 2009.

Liam Hampton is a Regional Cloud Advocate at Microsoft, UK. He is an IoT hobbyist, a podcast co-host and a Software Engineer with multiple Professional Cloud Certifications. He is passionate about cloud computing, clean code and creating simple and concise content for others. When he is not writing code or presenting, you’ll either find him searching for the next best eatery in London, studying different cultures or at the airport jetting off to explore the next city on his TODO list.
