Most people in business know how to create slides and build presentations. But still, the majority of presentations fail. Why? Because most people forget the basic truths that ensure interest and understanding – and perhaps the most important thing of all: how to create meetings that make a “yes” really, really easy to give.
Nils Petter Nordskar has been one of the most influential copywriters in Norwegian advertising for more than 25 years. After only a few years working for a few of Oslo’s best ad agencies, he started his own agency which became the most award-winning agency in Norway throughout the eighties and nineties, Nordskar&Thorkildsen Leo Burnett. Already in 1995, Nils Petter took a jump into the digital age and never left.
Nils Petter Nordskar is an experienced communication professional who has founded several companies during his career. He has won all the creative prices there is to win in Norway and international ones as well. In 1995 he sold his first agency to the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago and left traditional advertising to explore technology. To his big surprise, he found that creativity wasn´t owned by the traditional advertising industry alone, but programmers and web developers were highly creative people, too. And – they were sitting much closer to the client’s business strategy – taking part in more life-critical decisions than advertising professionals. Nils Petters internet company New Media Science almost went down during the dot com crisis in 2001, but stayed alive and is now one of Norway’s biggest technology firms, Bouvet – noted on the Oslo Stock Exchange. From 2011-2017 Nils Petter Nordskar was responsible for the conference Social Media Days in Oslo, attracting 6-700 digital marketing professionals each year. Today, Nils Petter is investing his time and money in new business ideas – being a part of the StartupLab mentor program here in Oslo.
